NO MORE “IMITATION” FOR THE REAL MULLEN’S ORIGINAL

In the 1950’s, the Food & Drug Administration declared that in order for a dressing to be called “French”, it must contain 35% oil. John D. Mullen’s original recipe only contained 19% oil. Therefore, it had to be classified as “Imitation” French Dressing. Then in 2022, the F.D.A. decided to retract this oil % requirement, meaning that John's original dressing recipe, from France, no longer had to be called "Imitation".

After all, how could a dressing recipe that was born in France and created with no artificial or imitation ingredients, be considered imitation?
