What's the deal with the blue French vs green French Imitation? When John Mullen created his perfect French dressing, it was what you'll now find in the green "Imitation" bottles. The US government prohibited him from calling it "French Dressing" because according to their guidelines it didn't have enough oil in it. Therefore the blue French bottle was born with enough oil to satisfy the US government rules.
John's intention was the green "imitation".
