Barbecued Spareribs

Ribs (1 lb. per serving)
1 garlic clove, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. salt per lb. of ribs
Mullen’s Barbecue Sauce

Place ribs in large kettle with all ingredients (except barbecue sauce). Cover ribs with water and bring to a boil. Simmer covered for one hour. Remove ribs from water and let cool. Brush ribs with Mullen’s Barbecue Sauce. Broil or grill ribs over a medium fire for approximately 20 minutes. Baste often with Mullen’s Barbecue Sauce.
